Sunday School:
God's Unforgettable Love

We've learned about God Created Everything. Then we learned about God Knows Everything. Now, we are learning about God's Unforgettable Love!! It continues off the Creation Story, Fall of Adam and Eve, Cain and Able, and the Tower of Babel. Even though Adam and Eve, Cain, and the people building the tower did wrong, God never forgot about them! Last week (6/23), we started looking at the Exodus of the Children of Israel from Egypt. Even when they were out wondering in the dessert, God didn't forget about them . . . even when they forgot about Him. The next part of the lesson will center around the stories of Ruth and David. There are many parts to the Story of David and the one we'll be looking at will be when David was having to hide from King Saul. One of the main reasons these two stories play such a big role in God's Unforgettable Love is these two people is how God sends His Promise . . . Jesus! They are just some of the main characters, along with Abraham, Issac, and Jacob of course.

Here are some activities on the web that go along with the above stories:

Activity Worksheet: 10 Commandments
Activity Worksheet: Ruth
Coloring Page: David and King Saul with Scripture
Coloring Page: David and King Saul without Scripture
Craft: Ruth Gathering Wheat (TP Roll Craft)
Activity Worksheet: David Sings Songs to God

Trekie Church for June

We finished our book!! We'll continue reading from time to time our older missionary books out loud in Trekie Church. However, the 2002-2003 Reading books are in! As part of our missions, the kids can take these books home and read them. We'll do it like a library. Check out one book and bring it back for another. Once all the new books are read, they can check out the older books! We have lots of them!!

I have a letter to the missionaries in Russia that I am sending out this week. I'm asking them what kinds of things that are needed so our kids can do a care package! This is why I say our study on Russia will take longer. We'll be referring to it off and on as we hear from missionaries and send out packages.

We are going to have a parade! Yes, a parade!! I'm going to find some large boxes for. Each child will decorage a box as their "float." This project may require some Saturday time!! Before making any "party" plans, I'll talk to Bro. Carey. We will be using our class to promote missions to the adults!

The Butterfly Song

Verse One:
If I were a butterfly, I'd thank You, Lord for giving me wings.
And if I were a robin in a tree, I'd thank you , Lord, that I could sing.
And if I were a fish in the sea, I'd wiggle my tail and I'd giggle with glee;
But I just thank You, Father, for making me "me."

Chorus:
For You gave me a heart and You gave me a smile;
You gave me Jesus and You made me Your child.
And I just thank you, Father, for making me "me."

Verse Two:
If I were an elephant, I'd thank You, Lord, by raising my trunk.
And If I were a kangaroo, You know I'd hop right up to You.
And if I were an octopus, I'd thank You, Lord, for my fine looks;
But I just thank You, Father, for making me "me."

Repeat Chorus

Verse Three:
If I were a wiggly worm, I'd thank You Lord, that I could squirm.
And if I were a billy goat, I'd thank You, Lord, for my strong throat.
And if I were a fuzzy wuzzy bear, I'd thank You, Lord, for my fuzzy wuzzy hair,
But I just thank You, Father, for making me "me."

Repeat Chorus
